Our Week: Finishing up the Year

Since we started moving, the kids have done a little school off and on. We finished most of their subjects before starting to move. I had planned to continue doing some review work, but I lost my motivation due to some other things I've had going on.  This week, Colin and Caleigh took their tests as required by our state so we're officially finished with this school year.

We had a little end of school celebration on Friday. Chad took the kids to Krispy Kreme that morning to see the donuts being made and let them pick out some. We ordered pizza for dinner and had ice cream with lots of topping choices. The kids each got a small gift. After dinner, we had a movie night.

We did some other fun things this week too.

Caleigh said this was her mad face because she kept knocking down all the pins but one and that one would wobble making her think it was going to fall.

Miniature Golf
It was really hot, but the kids are going crazy being cooped up in the apartment so we braved the heat to go to this fun park. The kids played on the playground and played mini golf. They wanted to ride the carousel, train, and boat, but it was just too hot to do anything else.

Baseball Game

This is how the girls spent a lot of their time at the game: playing checkers on my phone. I guess baseball doesn't interest them that much.

There were fireworks after the games, which is what kept the girls there for the whole game.

Wow -what a fun week! Congrats on finishing the year. I often mark the occasion of starting the school year, but not ending it. Hmmm...we might have to remedy that with a Krispy Kreme soon. :)
