Wow--those strawberries are huge! We had a small pot of strawberries last year, and they have spread out of the pot and taken over part of my flower bed this year. My youngest loves to pick and eat them, but we only yield about 5 or 6 at a time!
Porter Farm! We just went to their field in Raleigh (corner of Ten-Ten and Lake Wheeler). It's a smaller field and the strawberries weren't so huge. But they were amazingly sweet. Actually, we're going there again tomorrow, if it doesn't rain.
We love to go picking too. We have a patch in our backyard as well and can pick a basketful every night. We have trouble when we go to the farm and can't stop picking.
